I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.

Psalm 119:11

Class #4 -- 2/21/10 - Sunday, February 21, 2010

In class we learned about the story of King Josiah. King Josiah showed respect for God's Word. When King Josiah sent his men to fix the temple of God, they found a book. It was the Bible. The men took the Bible to King Josiah. The king read the Bible to all the people. Both the king and the people made a promise. They promised to always love and obey God's Word.

We can be like King Josiah. We can love and obey God's Word, the Bible. IT IS THE ONLY BOOK THAT IS ENTIRELY RIGHT!! If  we have any questions about whether or not God wants us to do something, we can find the answer in God's Word.

This story is from the book of 2 Kings 22:1-13; 23:1-3. Please take some time and review this with your children. The memory verse for 2/28/10 is Psalm 119:11.

M.V. for 2/21/10 - Sunday, February 14, 2010

Mark 10:14

Let the little children come to me.

Class #3 -- 2/14/10 - Sunday, February 14, 2010

Today in class, we learned about God's love for His children. This lesson is from Matthew 19:13-15 and Mark 10:13-16. You can use these verses to review the story with your children. Through this lesson, we learned about how the disciples tried to stop the children from seeing Jesus. The disciples thought they were helping Jesus, but Jesus was upset with them. He said, "Let the little children come to Me. Do not stop them." Jesus blessed all the children. Jesus loves each and every one of us.

You are gracious and compassionate God, slow to anger and abounding in love.

Class # 2 --- 2/7/10 - Sunday, February 07, 2010

Today we learned about the Story of Jonah. We talked about how Jonah was trying to hide from God because he did not want to go where God had instructed him to go. We learned that we can never hide from God because He knows all and He sees all. The moral of the story is to obey God in all aspects of our lives. The memory verse for 2/14/10 is Jonah 4:2.

JAN. 31, 2010 -- CLASS #1 - Sunday, January 31, 2010

Today we were able to cover, very quickly, "The Story of Daniel in the Lions' Den. " We did not dwell greatly on each and every detail of the story; however, we talked in class about Daniel's faith in God and how God saved him from death.  The moral of the story is: Always put your trust in God and He will make everything perfect in your life!!

Next week, I hope to see everyone on time. Remember attendance is mandatory and it is checked the moment you come into the church.
