According to the special inspiration of God and the guidance of the Holy Spirit, a Pentecostal worship service was started by Rev. P.C. Mammen on April 24, 1977 at 2555 Ballard Road, Des Plaines, Illinois 60016 where he was residing. At the first worship service, there was no one to worship with Rev. P.C. Mammen except his wife and two children. From May 1, 1977, three new families joined with him. Later this small group began to expand and relocated to various facilities namely day care centers, community churches, public schools, hotel meeting rooms, YMCA, community halls, etc.
During the year 1979, this small group was incorporated as International Pentecostal Church of God under the laws of the State of Illinois for "General Not for Profit Corporation Act." Since its formation, the church has grown tremendously. The International Pentecostal Church of God is not just a local church but also a ministry with a vision to reach those who have not heard the Gospel. We believe that God has set us as a light in order to bring God’s love to the neighboring communities and the hurting and dark world.
Presently, International Pentecostal Church of God owns two acres of land with a worship facility known as Hebron Gospel Center.
